Some of the chiropractic adjusting techniques and services we offer:
Neuro Emotional Technique (NET)
Thompson Terminal Point Technique (Thompson Drop Table Technique)
Involves the use of the Activator Adjusting Instrument that provides consistent mechanical low-force, high-speed input to the body.
Involves the use of sharp, thin needles that are inserted in the body at very specific points. This process is believed to adjust and alter the body's energy flow into healthier patterns, and is used to treat a wide variety of illnesses and health conditions.
ALCAT Test has provided both patients and healthcare professionals with a tool to successfully overcome a wide variety of conditions, such as digestive disorders, migraines, obesity, chronic fatigue, skin disorders and arthritis, which result from food and chemical sensitivities. We arrange to have your blood drawn here at the office.
The ALCAT Test differs from other food allergy or intolerance tests as it accurately and objectively measures leukocyte cellular reactivity in whole blood, which is a final common pathway of all mechanisms. The test utilizes electronic, state of the art, hematological instrumentation. Standard allergy tests, such as skin testing or RAST are not accurate for delayed type reactions to foods and chemicals. They measure only a single mechanism, such as the effect of mast cell release of histamine or the presence of allergen specific IgE molecules. Delayed reactions to foods and chemicals are NOT IgE mediated.
The ALCAT Test also differs from standard IgG tests in that they rely exclusively on one immune pathway, serum levels of immunoglobulin G (IgG). In fact, high food specific IgG titers are indicative only of exposure, not necessarily intolerance.
The ALCAT Test reproducibly measures the final common pathway of all pathogenic mechanism; whether immune, non-immune, or toxic. It is the only test shown to correlate with clinical symptoms by double blind oral challenges, the gold standard.

A form of muscle testing used to diagnose conditions in the body. When properly applied, the outcome of an AK diagnosis will determine the best form of therapy for the patient.
ArthroStim TM is an FDA approved instrument that introduces energy/force/information to the body to realign segments and remove nerve pressure. It is a precise instrument that allows for the adjustment of the specific segment that is out of position. It can be used in a sitting or standing position, allowing the patient to better identify the problem site during treatment.
An adjusting procedure that utilizes specialized adjusting tables with movable parts to induce distraction (traction) at the intervertebral disc level specific to a patient’s presentation.
Finger pressure is applied to specific points of the head, alleviating unwanted symptoms involving the brain, skull, blood vessel, fluid flow, and nervous system function.
Decompression Therapy is a non-surgical, non-chiropractic therapy to relieve back pain and other problems associated with spinal disc injuries.
Decompression Treatment is non-invasive and provides gentle decompression of the disc through the use of a decompression table. You are strapped to the table so that as it moves it applies a distraction force to the targeted area of the spine (the compressed disc). A computer controls the distraction force which is applied in between periods of relaxation. This gently pulls the spine apart elongating it and creating a small vacuum between the vertebrae which pulls the disc back into shape.
Much like a repetitive stress injury the decompression works in very minute increments. But over time that adds up and lets the disc reshape itself, heal and get the proper flow of nutrients going to fight off brittleness and future injuries.
Uses specific manual thrusts of shot and long lever nature focused on restoring normal biomechanical function. Has been developed to adjust extremity joints as well.
Involves the application of Interferential (IFC) muscle stimulation or Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) to the skin. Both types of electro-stimulation cause the release of GABA neurotransmitters, which help decrease pain and speed healing.
Specific strengthening exercises are prescribed for patients with back, neck, and extremity problems.
Involves adjusting joints besides the joints in the spine, such as the jaw, ribs, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, fingers, hip, knee, ankle, foot, and toes.
A technique designed to treat disc injuries. A specialized table is used to gently stretch the spine to isolate the problematic area.
The word LASER in laser therapy, is an acronym for light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation and applies to any instrument that generates light using that technique. Laser therapy is the use of monochromatic light emission from a low intensity laser diode or an array of high intensity super luminous diodes. Since laser therapy is relatively new, the biological and physiological affects of laser therapy are still being explored. Conditions treated with laser therapy include musculoskeletal injuries, chronic and degenerative conditions and wounds. Low Level laser therapy is best recognized for increasing the rate of wound and ulcer healing by enhancing cellular metabolism. Laser therapy has been shown to enhance the synthesis of nucleic acids and enhance cell division. Some of the advantages of laser therapy are; non-invasive procedure, non-toxic, easily applied, highly effective and no known negative side effects. It also has been demonstrated that repeated laser therapy treatments are more effective than a single exposure.
Adjustment of the spine that uses the force of a chiropractor’s hands without the aid of instruments.
Massage therapists use long, smooth strokes, kneading and other movements focused on superficial layers of muscle using massage oil or lotion.
Massage therapy improves circulation by bringing oxygen and other nutrients to body tissues.
It relieves muscle tension and pain, increases flexibility and mobility, and helps clear lactic acid and other waste, which reduces pain and stiffness in muscles and joints.
A form of soft tissue therapy which includes structural assessments and manual massage techniques for stretching the fascia (connective tissue) and releasing bonds between fascia, integument, muscles, and bones. This techinique allows the connective tissue fibers to reorganize themselves into a more flexible, functional fashion.
Neuro Emotional Technique (NET)
An approach focused on releasing a patient’s emotional blocks stored in the physical body's memory.
We carry a large variety of all natural supplements from Standard Process and Biotics, to name a couple.
We have Bio Freeze in the tube, roll on and spray, for your convenience. Bio Freeze is applied directly to the skin at the site of your pain. It is considered a topical anagesic. Bio Freeze is used to provide temporary and quick pain relief. Bio Freeze is a form of cold therapy (or cryotherapy) that cools the area in contact.
The main ingredient in Bio Freeze contains ILEX which is an herbal extract from a South American holly shrub. Herbalists claim that ILEX provides a fast-acting, temporary deep penetrating relief. To date there are no studies to back this claim. Other ingredients include: Menthol, Camphor, carbomer, FD&C Blue#1, FD&C Yellow#5, glycerine, herbal extract, isopropyl alcohol, methylparaben, propylene glcol, silicon dioxide, triethanolamine and water.
Fish Oil from Carlson. Fish provides the important omega-3 fatty acids, DHA and EPA. DHA (DocosaHexaenoic Acid) and EPA (EicosaPentaenoic Acid) are important to human nutrition and physiology and offer many health benefits. Scientists and doctors worldwide are encouraging people to consume more fish because DHA and EPA are important for brain and vision development, cardiovascular health, support flexible joint function and skin health. We also have a liquid form for children.

Thompson Terminal Point Technique (Thompson Drop Table Technique)
Thompson Technique is a specific chiropractic technique that was discovered and developed by Dr. J. Clay Thompson. Thompson Technique uses a special table with several segments called drop pieces. With Thompson Technique, the table segments can be cocked up a fraction of an inch, so when the thrust is delivered, the table will drop. One of the benefits of Thompson technique is that the drop pieces assist the thrust therefore minimizing the force used for the adjustment. The majority of the spinal adjusting utilizing the Thompson Technique has the patient lying prone(face down). The Leg length analysis concept is another important aspect of the Thompson Technique. This is a method used to determine imbalance in the length of the legs when observed with the patient in a prone position ( face down) on the table.
A quick thrust and release to the upper cervical vertebra, the recoil is to allow the vertebra to oscillate into its proper position.
Usually performed just before an adjustment, a system of rollers moves up and down the spine relaxing the muscles of the back, intended to make an adjustment easier to perform and more comfortable and beneficial.
In clinical practice, ultrasound is one of the most widely used therapeutic modalities. Ultrasound is applied using a round-headed wand or probe that is put in direct contact with the patients skin. Ultrasound gel is used on all surfaces of the head in order to reduce friction and assist in the transmission of the ultrasound waves. The ultrasound waves are generated by a piezoelectric effect caused by the vibration of crystals within the ultrasound head. The sound waves that pass through the skin cause a vibration of the local tissues. In ultrasound, this vibration can cause a deep heating locally though usually no sensation of heat will be felt by the patient. In situations where a heating effect is not desirable, such as a fresh injury with acute inflammation, the ultrasound can be pulsed rather than continuously transmitted.
